Ami has been dancing for 24 years and teaching and choreographing dance for 17 years. She is the proud owner of 5678 Dance Studios in Gig Harbor. She also teaches at Allegro Performing Arts Academy in Kent, and Action Dance Academy in Tacoma.

Ami's TV credits include tap dancing with the Tap Dogs and hip hop dancing with Shane Sparks of SYTYCD. She has taught at 12 dance studios, several schools, colleges, and theatres. She earned her college degree while studying dance and business at Bellevue College; where she also taught and choreographed for the company. She has danced all over the country for 6 years as an assistant teacher for multiple nationally touring dance conventions.

Competitively her choreography has received perfect scores and overall high scores several times, the first time at age 17. As a solo performer/choreographer she has taken home overall high score pro division awards. She has choreographed, acted, danced and sang in several plays and musicals. She continues to train passionately under the best choreographers in Seattle, Los Angeles and New York.

Whether you are training to be a pro, or just there for fun, Ami focuses to motivate and inspire all her students to be their best, be respectful, be safe, and have fun! Her biggest honor is watching her students develop into professional dancers, teachers, and choreographers. Ami teaches all ages and styles of dance. Tap, Lyrical, Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Modern, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, Cheer, Tricks Turns & Leaps, Stretch & Strengthen, and even some Ballroom, and Belly Dancing!
