| Ballet: Ballet is the true expression of classical art that provides strength,
beauty, posture & grace. This class focuses on ballet
technique.
|
|
| Break Dancing: A hip hop based class that
focuses on artistic movement of footwork, top rocking and dancing to the break in
music.
|
|
| Christian Hip Hop: An exciting beginning
hip hop class using popular Christian music.
|
|
| Creative Movement: An exploration of
movement patterns through imagination, songs and props. (2-3 year olds
& parents)
|
|
| Drama: This class offers a
fun approach to Theatre through imagination, improvisation and
presentation. We will be developing characters through pantomime, puppetry
and role playing.
|
|
| Hip
Hop: A popular approach to the art of dance, often performed
to the latest R & B music. Formerly known
as funk or street dancing.
|
|
| Jazz: An upbeat, fast paced style of dance that has evolved from a melting pot
of styles and choreographers over the years. Style, strength and
technique are stressed.
|
|
| Lyrical: Combines ballet and jazz concepts that are
expressive through fluidity, emotion and breath. Ballet is highly recommended to be taken at the
same time.
|
|
| Musical
Theater: Combines all aspects of dance, voice and dramatic
arts, as well as history and character development. We will explore the
history of musical theater, film and modern musicals.
|
|
| Pointe: Evaluation will be during the first weeks. (Must also take
ballet). It is important to keep enhancing proper technique to
prevent any injuries.
|
|
| Special Needs: A creative movement class
with ballet basics intertwined for physically disabled children. A focus
on movement exploration to enhance neurological connections and patterns.
|
|
| Stretch and Strength:
An injury prevention class that also helps with flexibility. Your own
dynaband is required for this class.
|
|
| Tap: Based on the American tap dancing style, with the feet as an
instrument. Rhythm, syncopation and timing are stressed as well as
proper technique.
|
|
| Tricks, Turns and
Leaps: A class for level 4-6 to expand their horizons with turns,
leaps and learn fun dance tricks! A great way to be challenged further.
|
|
| Tumbling:
A gymnastics based class that works on strengthening and flexibility. Fun
tumbling moves and skills will be taught by progression in a on-competitive
manner. A punch card is required for this class.
|
|
| Yoga:
Iyengar Hatha Yoga is a nurturing discipline that allows one to develop
physical, mental and spiritual core strength and flexibility through exercising
mindfulness and patience to create space for peace in one's body, mind and life.
|
|
| Allegro Precision
Dance Company: We have
5 levels within our dance company. Auditions
will be held in early July for the following year. Come and watch us perform at local performances and
competitions.
|
|
| The P.U.R.E. Hip-Hop
Troupe: We have three levels within our hip-hop
troupe. Auditions
will be held in September/October for the upcoming year. They will be
performing locally and at various competitions. This group is separate from the Allegro Precision Dance Company.
|
|
| Private
Lessons are available at $45 per hour for the instructor plus $5.00
studio space rental. These lessons are held at a
mutual time between the student and the instructor, given that there is
studio space available. Private lessons are wonderful for students
who want or need more individual attention or specific help on certain
areas. If interested speak to your instructor about availability
and scheduling. (Private lessons are pre-pay only.)

Levels

|
| Pre-dance: A fun introduction to ballet and tap dance steps, basic techniques and
beginning vocabulary for our youngest dancers.
|
|
| Combo
1: Ballet and tap basics, memorization of choreography and dance
vocabulary and of course- lots of fun!
|
|
| Combo 2
& 3: Ballet and Tap for young dancers with some previous dance
experience. This is a continuation of the Combo 1 ballet and tap
class.
|
|
| Level
1: Beginning with little or no previous dance experience, learning
of basic steps and terminology with fun choreography.
|
|
| Level
2: Completion of Level 1, second year of dance experience.
Expanding dance terminology with more developed use of concepts.
|
|
| Level
3: For dancers with 3 to 4 years of dance training depending on
individual progress and understanding of technical concepts.
|
|
| Level
4: For dancers with 4 to 5 years of dance training depending
on individual progress and understanding of technical concepts.
|
|
| Level
5: Intermediate / Advanced level mostly for those wanting to
take their training to the next level. Fine
tuning of all concepts for strength and technical ability.

| Level 6: Our most advanced level for the more dedicated and experienced dance students. It's very technically based, fast moving and challenging. | |
