Emily began dancing when she was three years old and has danced at many studios in Western Washington. She competed and performed in many states such as Las Vegas, California, and New York. She has been trained in ballet, tap, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical and modern by a variety of instructors. In 2006 she had the opportunity and privilege to travel to Austria for a summer international dance tour, Tanzomer. For two weeks she and the group were able to perform in castles and opera houses for thousands of people.

Emily has also worked with choreographers such as Mandy Moore and Tabitha and Napoleon. She has also been teaching since 208 and has worked with beginning and competitive levels for dancers ranging in age from 7-18 years old. Her style of dance and teaching emphasizes technical movement through jazz and lyrical. Her choreography has won overall in several different categories during competitions such as Rainbow Connection, and West Coast Dance Explosion.

Emily will be in her fourth and final year at Seattle University this fall. She will continue to grow and share her knowledge of dance while studying Pure Mathematics. She is in the middle of writing and researching for her senior synthesis dealing with Taxicab Geometry. She will be graduating as a undergraduate spring of 2012.
