ASSISTANT TEACHERS - In larger classes, an assistant teacher will be present to ensure that each child is paying attention and receiving individual attention. Our assistant teacher program is a great way for our dancers to participate in helping others learn, become more involved at Allegro and also to work off part of their tuition. Assistant teachers are chosen based on their ability, age and responsibility. If you are interested in assisting, please see Rosemary in the office.

HOLIDAY SHOWCASE - In addition to our June Showcase, we offer our students another chance to perform. The holiday showcase is a relaxed atmosphere and is meant to provide everyone with a celebration of the winter holidays – with many ethnicities and religions included. The tickets are inexpensive as well as the costumes for each class. Not every class will perform, however we try to include each student in
the show. Tickets are festival seating.

JUNE SHOWCASE – Our Showcases are not just the typical recital. We make it a much more professional show and work hard
at providing our performers with a respectful atmosphere to perform in. We will have three showcases in June 2011. Each show will be
about two hours long and each class will perform. Tickets are reserved seating.

MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS – A monthly newsletter will be emailed the first week of every month to keep everyone updated on studio information. Please keep us updated on your e-mail changes. If you have a special quote, comment or information recognizing one of our students for something beside dance – please submit it to the office!

PRIVATE LESSONS – The Allegro instructors are often available upon request to give private lessons to their students. See the receptionist to find out each individual instructors time availability. Private lessons are pre-pay only and cancellations need to be done within 24 hours to receive a refund. The person taking the private lesson will need to arrive early to warm-up and will also need to pay Allegro for the hourly studio rental fee of only $8.00.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES - Allegro is available to rent for birthday parties, depending on studio availability. For $125, an Allegro instructor of your choice will do a 45-minute lesson for the party go-ers, you have full range a studio room complete with a kitchenette to hold the entire party and decorate. The parties usually last around two hours. The best part is that you do not have to deal with the mess at your own house! (Chairs and tables are available for your use as well.)

Monthly Trivia Questions - Used to help our students further their education with the history of dance.

Various Master Classes  - Allegro offers Master classes by various choreographers to continue to add variety to our dancers training.

Allegro Dance Library - (videos and books) used to encourage research and exploration of dance history. (See receptionist to check an item out.)

Monthly Themes - Are incorporated into the classes to create well-rounded dancers and give them as much information of the performing arts as possible.

Choreographer of the month board - Used to honor dance history an advanced student will create a report and display it for all to read and become educated.

Perfect Attendance Awards at the end of the year to honor a job well done. They also receive one month of free tuition for one class the following September.

Live Piano Accompanist- Will be in various ballet classes to give the students the experience of working with a live accompanist.

Performer Of The Month awards - Used to recognize certain dancers that have improved and worked especially hard!

Yearly Musical Excerpt -Will be performed in the June showcases open to level 3 and up to give our dancers a chance to be involved with more musical theater and characterization. It is a lot of fun!

Community Service Events  - Allegro perticipates in several community services events through out the year for our students & families to sign up & participate in!

Yearly End Critique And Placements -Will be given from each teacher to provide feedback to the students on their improvements and what to work on more in future classes.

Yearly Showcase Participation Certificate - A keepsake to honor the hard work that each performer puts into our always-successful June showcases. Special first performance certificates are also available to performers who celebrate their first time on stage with us!

 Dancer Accounts – With parents permission, a dancer can have an account open to be able to purchase items such as water, juice, sandwiches, hair bands or cd’s of their class music, (without having to have cash on hand.)
