How do I know what level to enroll in?

We have seven levels at Allegro. If you are a beginner, start with level 1. There will be a variety of level 1 classes depending on your age. If you have prior dance experience, we will allow you to try classes for a week to find the best fitting level for you. Allegro instructors have the final say on level placements for students. Age categories for the classes are merely a guideline and there will be exceptions based on the placement recommendations of the Allegro instructors.

How many kids are in each class room?

Class sizes vary depending on the size of the room, the level/age of the dancers and if there is an assistant teacher in the classroom. Allegro office staff with let you know if the class that you are interested has availability for registration or not. It's always a good idea to register early at Allegro as certain classes do tend to fill up quickly.

What do we need to wear?

DRESS CODE - Please understand how important it is to our students’ dance training to follow our simple/not too strict dress code requirements. Hair must be worn up off the neck at all times, buns for ballet please. Jeans are never allowed, even for the hip-hop classes. In colder weather, layers of clothing are allowed until the dancer is warmed up and the proper dance attire needs to be underneath the layers.
