Combined with his love for the arts and passion for teaching. He thrives to create an environment where his students can develop into the best dancers they can be. VJ started his dance career at a young age by imitating Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal." In high school, he joined a step/dance team called Crimson Haze and began fine-tuning his craft. VJ has trained with and under numerous people with immense talent. Joey Cooper, Bryan Tanaka, Heavy Impact's Greg Baja and Isaac Tualaulelei, Ivan Koumaev, Ryan Chandler, and Daniel Cruz. He has also danced with a multitude of dance groups such as The Heat, De5inco, Team Boogiezone - Breed: Seattle, Cruz Control, Phyzikal Graffi-T, Twisted Elegance, The Image Performing Company, and 2010 World of Dance Champions: Kontagious Movement. Teaching is very important to him. VJ takes each class as a learning experience not only for his students but as well as himself in order to become a better teacher. In turn, it only help deliver the best training for his students.
