Performer & Teacher
Karla has performed in many of the western states. Over the years she has appeared with San Jose Dance Theater, Santa Barbara Dance Theater, Pat Graney Dance Company, Leaving/Ground Dance, Stone Dance Collective and Variety Plus. Karla has taught at San Jose Dance Theater, Arts at Laguna, New City Ballet and Spectrum Dance Theater
Education and certification
Karla Koon graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1994 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and recently graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Masters degree in Organizational Management.
Teaching schedule
Karla has been a teacher at Allegro since the fall of 1996 and is unable to continue teaching during the weekdays. However, she will be continuing to work with our team for Saturday technique classes as she is an important part of our world at Allegro!!
