My Second Home

Hi! My name is Ayla, I’m 16 years old and a junior in high school. This is my 6th year dancing at Allegro and I truly couldn’t be happier. I’m so proud to say that I’ve found a second home here, and a second family.

I don’t know what I would do without dance and the friends and family I’ve gained from it. I feel so incredibly grateful towards the Allegro teachers and staff because without them, I would never be where I am now. A better dancer, a better friend, a better person. The knowledge I’ve gained and the lessons I’ve learned while at Allegro are things I’ll keep with me for the rest of my life; dance-related or otherwise.

It’s so incredibly bittersweet to think that I only have a year and a half left here, but I’m so excited to watch it all unfold. I hope to soak up every little moment I can in the time that I have left. I’m so grateful to know that this is a place I can always come back to; a place where I know I can always be unapologetically myself, no matter what.
